Published as technical service bulletin #20-NA-199, this new update brings plenty of fixes, including Android Auto and CarPlay optimizations.
For example, it resolves Bluetooth glitches that blocked phone contacts from being downloaded when Android Auto was running. The bug that was causing traffic alerts to no longer play or display correctly when Android Auto or CarPlay were enabled in the cars has also been resolved.
General Motors says it addressed the problem causing the radio and the display to become unresponsive after a remote start, as well as the weird glitch making the HUD show a call was still active even after it ended.
There are also several other general fixes, including for disabled support for AVI and MP3 files, OnStar Location Services struggles with locations when turn by turn navigation was enabled, and the FM browse feature unable to display the most recent radio stations.
For Sirius XM users, General Motors says it has resolved the bug forcing the signal to be lost after 3 seconds.
2017 Gmc Acadia Software Update
Installing the new software update is pretty easy, as models with an online connection can automatically download this version and install it without any kind of user interaction required. If the automatic installation isn’t possible or connected services are not available, you can just pay a visit to your closest dealer and they’ll have it installed for you.
