vas 6154 installation:
vas 6154 windows 7: confirmed to work
vas 6154 windows 10: no luck
I will prefer you to use windows 7 for all the diagnostic devices, this is because of the security of the windows 10. The best way to get a good working diagnostic program is to have one and only laptop for this. A clean windows 7 is the best way.
Have a try on Win 7 32 bit and 64. both have the luck
32bit: x86 is soooo much better since there is no any lack of the functionality for any kind of driver of ur laptop , I test both x86 is better and u can install both yes ODIS-S and ODIS-E
64 bit: I installed on win7 64bit and it installed and I added the update file from the download, starts and works very well

- Clone vas6154 = Odis offline
vas 6154 clone will never work with odis online. Only oem SN of 6154 will work with odis online, all 6154 clones will be on the black list. Vw could not lock the SN Clone for 5054 but could lock the SN Clone for the 6154.
Summary: Anyone who wants to use odis online must purchase oem 6154.
Clone 6154 = Odis offline
- enough for users
it works 100% and has unique features. I think it is enough for users
- defined as vas5054a
Program clone, is defined as 5054. but 6154 supports wireless.
- wireless connection and stable
Vas 6154,can be connected by wireless connection, and the function is very stable.
- cable extender for audi obd2
I am not sure if it is an upgraded version from vxdiag vcx nano or a downgrade. However vcx nano due to size it needed a cable extender in order to fit in an audi obd2 connector. This is the main difference with VCX6154. VCX nano being similar to VCX nano pro enjoys the same firmware frequent upgrades, however only pro version can be added with more license add ons for different makes.
VCX can be powered by usb port which means it can be upgraded easily using then vcx app. vcx nano worked perfect with odis-s 3.0.3 and in addition now comes with with api-pdu 1.20.040 support which means odis-s 4.1.3 compatibility. However with odis-e dont expect you will be able to flash successfully.
Please keep us posted with your findings regarding the newer VCX 6154 especially flash capability.
- different from the genuine
different from the real vas6154, but i focus on the functionality, regardless of genuine or clone.

I kept the clone MUT 3 (Multi Use Tester v3) diagnostic and programming system for over half a year. The original direct from SPX the MUT-III package is approximately $8,000 USD. I got it at much cheaper price from eobdtool.co.uk that meets my needs.
MUT i.i.i system is easier to use comparing some professional tools, like Launch and AUTEL scanner. I’ve done several programming using MUT for engine and etacs coding in mirage and Outlander. I am going to write a review.
Which to buy?
I think the cheaper MUT3 can read (diagnose) but can’t reprogram. If you need reprogramming/coding, you have to get a coding one. The difference between a “coding” and a “non-coding” MUT III is that different VCI versions or whatever. I got one that claimed will do reprogramming and coding.
Payment & Shipping:
Euro 979.00 plus 50 Euro shipping cost via DHL 7 day’s delivery
Package including:
A later version 2014.03V of software (ALL of them come with software), a CF programming card and specifically stated it was a programming version.
An aluminum hardware case
A VCI module (Vehicle Communication Interface)
Several OBD2 cables and connectors
After browsed the user manual, I learned that the blue cable is appropriate for all CAN-bus Mitsubishi cars. The red dual-head unit is for FUSO trucks.
Just thought I’d throw this up there for anyone interested.
Software installation:
Software installation is a little bit tricky. I installed it on a old Windows XP SP3 Dell laptop with IE 6.0 (needs IE 6.0 or 8.0). I did not take a risk to install it on Win 7 or VM (as far as I know it cannot be loaded on VM). I did not want to cause much trouble.
Diagnosis & Programming:
The VCI connects to the OBD2 port on the CAN bus via an included cable, then to a USB port on the computer with a standard A/B USB cable. Then the computer speaks to the car via the VCI connection. See my attachment “Mitsubishi Diagnostic Connectors”
Connected the MUT-3 VCI to my Mirage and then to the notebook. The car was recognized, assorted settings are available to be programmed or changed (TPMS, door lock settings, wiper speed settings, etc. And all the expected CAN bus stuff, SAS stuff, and code checking/clearing. So far, so good. Rewriting the vehicles ECU, rewriting the vehicles TCM, reading diagnosis codes, and clearing diagnosis codes all not problem. My MUT 3 clone cannot do programming online, can only do programming offline.
I’d like to write a guide for MUT-III/VCI owners looking to perform common tasks.
To retrieve/edit TPMS sensor IDs:
Launch MUT3 program.
Select “System select”.
Enter type/year of vehicle under vehicle selection.
Connect computer to VCI and to vehicle (blue cable), switch vehicle ignition on.
Select 15 – KOS/IMMO/Keyless; a new options list will appear.
Checked the appropriate options set for your car. For example, Fastkey owners will check the box “VF2 – IMMOBI & Keyless & TPMS”.
Click Check mark icon on green toolbar at the bottom right
Select “Special function”.
Choose Pressure Sensor ID Registration, Tire Pressure Sensor ID check, etc.
To program a VIN to an ECU:
Launch MUT3 program.
Select “System select”.
Enter type/year of vehicle under vehicle selection.
Connect computer to VCI and to vehicle (blue cable), switch vehicle ignition on.
Select 15 – KOS/IMMO/Keyless; a new options list will appear.
Checked the appropriate options set for your car. For example, Fastkey owners will check the box “VF2 – IMMOBI & Keyless & TPMS”.
Click Check mark icon on green toolbar at the bottom right
Select “Special function”.
Choose “ENG Key Code &Chassis No/VIN Reg”
Click Check mark icon on green toolbar at the bottom right
Enter the chassis VIN you want to program the ECU to
Click Check mark icon on green toolbar at the bottom right
And many other features, I am not going to list all them here. I am not affiliated with the dealer or China clone. I am just reporting what I’ve done with my machine.
