. You can use Dexterity instead of Strength for the Attack and Damage Rolls of your unarmed strikes and monk Weapons. You can roll a d4 in place of the normal damage of your Unarmed Strike or monk weapon. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. When you use the Attack action. Sacred Fist maxes out at 10, and grants damage as a monk of same level, which is 1d10, and you can't add the best weapon mods by crafting, because attributes like Holy and Keen don't apply to gloves, not to mention added damage. There's a lot of damage reduction in this. Hmmm almost better to take 3 levels rogue and choose unarmed strike there then? Start with monk 1 then 3 rogue then 16 monk, that way you can use the Lawful evil monk robe with +5 hit/damage and a +3 hit/damage neck instead + some sneak attack thrown in.:). A monk or any character with the Improved Unarmed Strike feat can deal lethal or nonlethal damage with unarmed strikes, at her option. The damage from an unarmed strike is considered weapon damage for the purposes of effects that give you a bonus on weapon damage rolls. An unarmed strike is always considered a light weapon. The point of 'monk weapons' is that you can Flurry of Blows with them. But does that flurry of blows use your unarmed attack/damage or the weapon attack/damage? If I use a Sai, do I do 1d4x3 damage or 1d6x3? Doe it use Dex bonus or strength? Can monks get Wepaon Finesse? Are any monk wepaons Finesse weapons?
